Ron and I decided to purchase a portrait of

We smile every time we look at her. |

Sage Creek
Gallery, one of
Santa Fe’s
finest art galleries, hosted the
Oil Painters of America’s
Eighteenth Annual Exhibition.
Linda spent much of this trip pursuing
portrait and figure painting,
one of her favorite art forms. Below is a
very small sampling of her
Santa Fe
experience: |

Pictured below are a few photos that convey a very small part of the
OPA Show at
Devin Galleries in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Two hundred pieces were juried into this show, from the Western United
States and Canada.
Art enthusiasts from across North America were in attendance. |

Linda travelled to Missoula, Montana to the
National Juried Exhibition of
Traditional Oils for OPA

What a thrill to see, not only the buyers,
but the hundreds of people,
who travelled just to see the show. |

Linda was invited to participate in the Arts Without Borders Festival
and
the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Awards in Lloydminster.
She participated in the Arts Unleashed Quick Draw, Silent Auction and
Wine Reception
held at the Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre in conjunction with
this event.
This painting was done in one hour, as guests watched it unfold.
|
|

Linda’s auction
painting was original oil, done in a 17th Century Style. |

Linda’s completed painting
“Brass Teapot” was done from a still life, which was set up just prior to
the beginning of the allotted painting time. |

Gallery
guests then bid on a “wet-just-completed” 17th century painting. The final
bid went to Skip and Dianne Krake, of Lloydminster. Many thanks to the
generous patrons who bid on the painting and took part in the reception. |

Alberta Arts Awards Foundation was created to celebrate excellence in the
arts and to promote the arts in Alberta. Three awards of $30,000.00 were
given in recognition of outstanding achievement in the arts by Albertans
or significant contribution to the arts in Alberta.
Along with these awards, the Gwen Mottram Arts Volunteer Award was
presented to Olinda Tindall of Lloydminster.
